Created with the inspiration of the winter 2015 Disability Studies class at the University of Michigan. This accessible music video symbolizes my belief that music should be accessible to anyone, regardless of ability, race, gender or sexuality. It was created with large emphasis in deaf culture, as those who may not know ASL or be able to hear the melodies or words be able to experience the music with visual cues from lips and macintosh audio visualization technology. Please recognize that this was created by someone who lives outside of the deaf community, but who wishes to synthesize the musical experience for all. Lyrics by Bon Iver, adapted by Birdie and payed and recorded by Rachel Armstrong on piano and Jessica Leung on vocals.
